Some dogs are blessed with a wonderful family, excellent veterinary care, and a life filled with love and kindness. Unfortunately, many other dogs are not so lucky. On May 20th, a first ever Pet Adoption Day organized by Coastal Living On The Point magazine was held in the Morehead City, NC community of Blair Farm. Scores of adoptable dogs (and puppies!) were in attendance and several dogs found their furever home!

As part of Woof Tracks Photography's participation in the event, the studio offered all adoptable dogs in attendance a free, professional "pup head shot" in our "Pop Up Studio" with the hopes of capturing a little bit of their personalities in an image that would help them find their furever homes a little faster. In addition, Woof Tracks Photography also held a drawing from all pet owners who donated $10 to Misplaced Mutts. The drawing was for a full pet portrait session and a matted, fine art print. (Value: $450)
The winner was Pam Doster with "Jack," a white/yellow lab who clearly enjoyed having his image taken!
The Buenda Family had photos made with their Golden Retriever, Lyla. They didn't win the drawing for the full session and fine art print, but they did take home a $50 Print Credit and we are (surprise!) gifting the family a free pet studio session. Here's Lyla and the family's oldest child, having a little conversation about this photography stuff:
One of the lucky dogs that was adopted from Misplaced Mutts on Pet Adoption Day is this sweet mixed-breed female adopted Joe E., a resident in Blair Farm. I think this is going to be an amazing home for Annie! Joe also will receive a free pet portrait session for Annie and a $50 Print Credit!
This sweet Lab puppy, Quinn, also found his furever home! He was present on Pet Adoption Day and had been looking for a family to call his own for a little while. Congrats Quinn and Misplaced Mutts on finding this puppy the home he deserves!
Some of the dogs that were at the Pet Adoption Day are still available for adoption. Like this adorable little guy is named, "Chase." And yes, that is his tongue you see peeking out! He is a sweet, sweet boy and looking for his furever home with Misplaced Mutts.
This handsome hound is "Buster." Friendly and outgoing with people, he is apparantly a little more discerning with his canine friends but the good people at Misplaced Mutts can help determine if he will be the perfect fit for your home.
Interested in a pit mix who is adorable and gives out kissed to everyone along with tail wags? Maybe "Willow" is perfect for your home! She sure was wonderful posing for us!
The Carteret County Humane Society and Shelter also had several dogs available for adoption at the Pedt Adoption Day. "Sophie" is a red and white hound who had no problems posing for her head shot.
And last but not least, "Slim." This not-so-slim boy has no problems keeping weight on (LOL) and he was really "over" the whole posing for the camera thing--because he was hot (and probably hungry) and really just wanted to lie down in a nice patch of shade.
